Ihre Aufgaben:
- Own the collection, quality, and ongoing curation of metadata for data assets within the assigned domain, including business definitions, classifications, ownership assignments, and sensitivity tagging
- Maintain and improve business term assignments in the data catalog to ensure data assets are accurately described and easy to find
- Identify and define Critical Data Elements (CDEs) together with data owners and the Data Governance CoE
- Review and improve metadata coverage to increase clarity and data discoverability
- Ensure new data assets and data products have complete governance metadata before going live
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define, publish, and maintain data products in the Data Marketplace
- Support adoption of the Data Marketplace by ensuring data assets are findable, trusted, and accessible
- Certify and maintain data products according to governance standards
- Define data quality thresholds for CDEs together with business data owners and technical teams
- Monitor data quality for critical data elements, investigate identified issues, and coordinate their resolution
- Support the development of repeatable processes for proactive data quality management
- Support the documentation and publication of end-to-end data lineage for critical data assets and products
- Maintain an up-to-date map of data ownership within the domain
- Escalate ownership gaps and lineage issues when required
- Organize and facilitate domain Data Governance working group sessions
- Coordinate Data Governance activities across the domain
- Support DCAM-aligned maturity assessments by providing domain-level evidence, artifacts, and input
- Act as the main point of contact between the domain and the central Data Governance CoE
- Support data owners and contributors in understanding governance expectations and tooling
Required skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, or a similar governance-focused data role
- Experience with metadata management and data catalogs, including business definitions, classifications, ownership, sensitivity tagging, and business terminology
- Experience identifying and managing Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
- Experience with data quality management, including defining thresholds, monitoring quality, investigating issues, and coordinating remediation
- Experience working with data products and Data Marketplace concepts
- Experience documenting or maintaining data lineage and data ownership
- Understanding of data flows and basic data modelling principles
- Experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, including data owners, analysts, and data engineers
- Experience facilitating working groups and coordinating Data Governance activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to learn quickly
- STEM educational background
- English — confident written and spoken communication with business and technical stakeholders
